Lastslate comes to Windows

Since launch, the most common note in our inbox hasn't been about a feature. It's been a question: "When can I use this on my PC?"

Today. Lastslate now ships for Windows 10 and 11 alongside the Mac version — not a port that trails behind, but the same editor built from the same code, released together with the same version number.

Everything came along

Format-as-you-type. Pagination that matches Final Draft to the line, so the PDF you send a producer reads exactly as they expect. Full Final Draft .fdx and Fountain support, PDF import, versioned drafts, review links, and the AI collaborator that reads your script — and never writes a line of it.

The promise came along too: your scripts are never used to train AI. That commitment is unconditional on both platforms, on every tier, free or paid.

The boring parts, done properly

The installer is code-signed through Microsoft's Trusted Signing service, and the app keeps itself up to date automatically. Your scripts live locally on your PC; encrypted cloud backup stays opt-in.

Writing on both?

Scripts are plain files — .fountain and .fdx — so a screenplay started on a MacBook opens on a Windows desktop without conversion. With cloud backup on, your projects follow you between machines.
